Experience and Requirements

Traffic Division Manager

Neglia Group is seeking a Division Manager to lead and grow our Traffic Engineering Division at our Lyndhurst, New Jersey location. The position is presented as an opportunity to grow a division with a solid client base that needs the next level of service from a focused and driven manager that brings insightful solutions to intractable local congestion issues.
We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and technology minded individual who will be responsible for the management of municipal and regional traffic engineering and transportation planning work such as NJDOT Access Permits, Traffic Impact Studies, review of traffic submittals by land use board applicants and the appearances before land use boards as an expert in traffic engineering.
Our services extend throughout northern and central New Jersey and into New York. The successful candidate will report to the firm’s Director of Transportation.

Experience and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with associated Transportation Engineering coursework

Experience and Requirements

  1. Over 5 years of experience in construction of roadways, utilities, public work, and site improvements.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  3. NICET Certification required, including ACI and SAT Certification.
  4. Current Active Driver’s License and vehicle.
  5. Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills.
  6. Proficient in preparing daily reports utilizing a computer/laptop/tablet.

    1. Over 3 years of experience in construction of roadways, utilities, public work, and site improvements.
    2. NICET Certification preferred or pursuance of such will be required utilizing our “Tuition Assistance Program”, including ACI and SAT Certification.
    3. Current Active Driver’s License and vehicle.
    4. Candidate should possess good communication, verbal, and technical writing skills.
    5. Responsible for field construction observations/tracking of construction sequencing, cost, scheduling, and contractor performance.
  1. Experience in reviewing, reading and interpreting Site/Grading/Drainage/Utility/Erosion Control plans, construction details, Technical Specifications, and Technical Design Reports.
  2. Verify materials and equipment against approved shop drawings.
  3. Monitor the quality of work and identify potential safety concerns, identify any deviations from plans or specifications.
  4. Act as a liaison between the Contractor and Regional/Chief Inspector.
  5. Assist the project engineer with project administration.
  6. Working knowledge of mathematics with the ability to determine field measurements and adjustments.
  7. Ability to maintain detailed journal entries and produce daily reports with photographs utilizing in-house proprietary software for pay quantity records and Construction Management daily reports.
  8. Operational knowledge of field inspection equipment.
  9. Ability to work overtime including nights and weekends (when required).
  10. Performs work in accordance with safety policies and procedures.
